File Uploads in User Limits Configuration

File Uploads plugin works in cohesion with User Limits plugin, so the former expands upon the latter.

When you have User Limits plugin installed & activated, along with File Uploads, you will see additional settings available at the bottom of User Limits Configuration page: Files – disable upload files

To access this configuration, navigate to PeepSo -> Configuration -> User Limits

Configuration #

These settings work according to the Restrictions concept of User Limits plugin.

Selected users will not be able to upload files in their posts #

Administrators can prevent available user roles from uploading files within the community.

User roles are correspondent to enabled features. Editor, Author, Contributor and Subscriber are base roles provided by WordPress. There is also the Administrator role, but due to its nature it cannot be limited.

New plugins may introduce new roles and they will accordingly appear in User Limits configuration lists. For example, E-learning plugins will add a Tutor/Instructor, and E-commerce plugins will add roles such as Shop Manager, Shop Accountant and similar.

Administrators can disallow file upload for any role available in this part of the configuration, even if the role originates from a separate plugin.

Based on Profile Completeness #

Administrators can prevent users from uploading files in the community if their profile isn’t completed according to the required percentage (10-100%).

Based on Avatar #

Administrators can prevent users from uploading files in the community if they didn’t upload their own avatar (profile picture).

Based on Cover #

Administrators can prevent users from uploading files in the community if their profile is lacking the cover photo.
