BadgeOs + PMP Membership

BadgeOS can be combined with PMP Membership.

On your BadgeOs setting you can add membership level on achievement step so user can have their membership badge upon registration based on membership level. To set this feature, go to:
WP Admin -> BadgeOs > Badges > Add New and in the Required Steps section pick: PeepSo Community Engagement -> Checkout Membership Level Upon Registration and select membership level you set for the badge. Click Publish and it’s done. New members who register with membership level you set up with badgeos. They will have Badge on their profile.

Admin Awarded Badges

Admin can award users badges. All admin needs to do is to have the badge ready. Once that’s done, go to WP Admin -> Users -> All Users. Find the user who you want to award the badge to. Edit that user and scroll down till you see Award an Achievement section. From dropdown select: Badge a list of available badges will show.

Scroll until you find the one you want and click: Award Badge. After that scroll to the very bottom, save changes. It’s done. The badge has been awarded and can be found in the user’s profile.

Setup Badges For Users To Earn Them

This article uses images and explains the configuration of third-party plugin. If options are changed with future updates of BadgeOS plugin, please let us know immediately so we can update this documentation page.

In order to setup badges these are the steps.

  • Go to WP Admin -> BadgeOS -> Badges and click Add New.
  • The badge title is the name of the badge. Fields that you fill in will be used in the PeepSo-BadgeOS Integration as well. Some of them will be used in both: Badges listing in user profiles and PeepSo Activity Stream Posts.

Featured Image in the Badge Configuration is the Badge Image is used on PeepSo Activity Stream Posts, in Badges listing in user profiles and on user profile covers.

Navigation

The earned badges show in user profiles. Under Badges submenu that shows right under user profile cover. All of them are listed there.

There are 3 menu items and ways for users to view their badges:

  1. Link on the PeepSo toolbar under Profile > Badges – can be disabled in backend.
  2. Link in the PeepSo Profile Widget > Badges – can be disabled in backend.
  3. Link in the User Profile under the cover.

Notifications

Whenever a user earns a badge there will be a notification generated to let the user know about it. Just to make sure it’s not missed.

This option can be deactivated in the WP Admin -> PeepSo -> Configuration -> BadgeOS.

Stream posts

Whenever a user earns a badge there’s a corresponding post created in your PeepSo community. It’s like an announcement to the whole community that a user earned a badge. This option can be deactivated in the WP Admin -> PeepSo -> Configuration -> BadgeOS

Available Options

  • Enable BadgeOS Integration – Enabled: Turn on the use of BadgeOS Integration
  • Show ‘Badges’ link in the PeepSo Profile menu – Enabled: Show ‘Badges’ link in the PeepSo Profile menu
  • Create posts when user earns a new badge – Post updates on Activity Stream when user earns new badge.
  • Display recent badges on profile cover – Enabled: Display recent badges on profile cover
  • How many recent badges to display on the cover – Limit display badge on profile cover
  • Display recent badges on profile widget – Enabled: Display recent badges on profile widget
  • How many recent badges to display on the profile widget – Limit display badge on profile widget
