Why Design Matters

Good design helps a website stand out; even more importantly, it increases engagement and the amount of time a user will spend on your site. How users feel about your brand, how they engage with it, can be largely dictated by how user-friendly and pleasant to look at your website is.

A few points to think about:

1. How responsive is your website? Does it shift gracefully from desktop to mobile? Research shows that nine out of ten mobile searches lead to action, and more than half of those lead to sales; ninety-one percent of adults have a mobile device within reach at all times. If they have to constantly zoom in and out to be able to use your site, chances are, you’re going to lose out to a competitor who makes their mobile viewing experience user-friendly and visually appealing.

2. How easy is it for customers to interact with you? If they have a concern or a query, can they easily reach someone via chat or email? Will they be able to find the right person to talk to, without having to preface their email with a qualifier like “if this isn’t the right person, please forward on?” Users are more likely to recommend a product, even if they’ve had some technical issues, if the customer service department has been a pleasure to deal with.

3. Is it easy for people to find what they want? If a user can’t find what they’re looking for on your website within the first minute, you’ve lost them.

4. How well does your website reflect your brand’s personality? Whether it’s color or font, everything on your website should be treated with as much care as your outfit for an interview. It’s the first impression people get of you, and it can have a huge impact on the assumptions they make about your products.

PeepSo is incredibly responsive, coded to make your business’ private social network look great on any device. It’s easy to navigate, and you can choose whether you want to enable chat, or just messaging – whether it’s events, classifieds or a place to give feedback, people will know exactly where to look. It’s a space where your customers can really get to know you, on a day-to-day basis. And, it works right out of the box – all of this, without needing extensive and/or specialized web design knowledge.
