PeepSo 1.5.2 is out. A great start to a new year!

This is a minor release focusing on bug fixes and WordPress 4.4 compatibility.

We really emphasized the code quality and testing during not only this update but all the previous ones, and when we checked PeepSo on WP 4.4 we found a slight misalignment of styles in the backend configuration options – that’s been fixed. Apart from this there were just a few minor bugs. It’s all good now.

Deep in development

We’re still deep in the development of Customizable Profile Fields. When they’re ready, you’ll be able to create profiles exactly the way you want. We’re also working on improving the current functions and adding new features.

Upgrade PeepSo Now

Automatic updates let you move quickly to the latest version—and you can do it all in the backend of your site.

Remember to update plugins in this sequence: ChatSo first, then all the child plugins. Core PeepSo plugin should be updated last. Here’s documentation that explains how to upgrade. You can see the full changelog here.

No PeepSo?

The free PeepSo Core version is fantastic. But if you want to unlock the true potential of social networking for WordPress, install the other plugins today.

    Hi Eric ,

Firstly thank you for producing something that is fresh and clean , the interface looks unbelievably clear and concise to use , I have one question , i am setting up a new site along the lines of a community based twitter style , in the activity section on home page is it possible to have #hashtags when posting and also is there a way of limiting the amount of characters in an update i.e. 140 to 160

      Hi Mark,

Thanks for the kind words 🙂 The entire team is working hard on making PeepSo great.

But coming to the questions you asked, #tags are not yet implemented, but we do plan on introducing them to PeepSo. Unfortunately, I can’t give you the exact date yet.

As for limiting the number of characters in an update, there’s a setting in PeepSo config called: “Maximum size of Post”, the default is 4000 characters, you can change it to 160, 180 or whatever you think is most suitable for your community.

      I hope that helps.

      Kindest regards,
      Eric Tracz
