New PeepSo release is focused on improvements in the code, as well as third-party platform migrators. It also includes important security fixes and we advise you to update your sites immediately.
If you have a community built with plugins other than PeepSo, we provide an easy means to migrate those communities to the better platform, but not everything goes smoothly all the time. Because those third-party plugins sometimes get updated too, there is a high possibility some functionality of our migrators might break whenever that happens.
This was exactly the case with BuddyBoss and Ultimate Member migrators which cause migrator tools to simply stop the migration in the middle of the process. We have updated these migrators and they should now work flawlessly.
Your Site Security Is Our Top Priority
Just a couple of days ago, we got the report about XSS vulnerability being present in the PeepSo code. As soon as it was reported, our devs fixed it promptly and the fix is included in this release. The vulnerability is not publicly disclosed yet and we believe no sites are affected, but we strongly recommend that you update your sites to the latest version as soon as possible.
What Else Is New?
If you are using Yoast SEO plugin, we added the new option in Gecko configuration to prevent having doubled OG tags and we also added better compatibility for plenty of the most popular third-party themes. For the full list of changes, take a look at our changelog.
