New Release: 6.2.2.0

PeepSo 6.2.2.0 is a maintenance release which brings improvements in search UI, and provides a completely new option to hide members tab in groups.

Hide Group Members Tab

Sometimes it is not needed for all group members to see who is in the specific group, and that is where this new option is useful. We provided a lot of flexibility for admins to hide group members in all groups, but allow group owners to override these settings anyway.

If you use Groups plugin, you’ll find these two new settings in WP Admin -> PeepSo -> Configuration -> Groups under the Members Tab panel. They are:

  • Enabled – This is the switch to enable or disable Members Tab in groups. By default it is enabled, which means your current sites will not be affected. Members tab will still show. If you want to hide it, you need to switch off this option.
  • Allow groups to override this setting – Should be self-explanatory. If enabled, the setting will work on granular, single group level, where it will be possible to hide or show Members Tab in individual groups.

Please note that these settings have no effect on site Administrators, group Owners and/or group Managers.

What Else Is New?

We implemented some minor UI improvements, as well as making email blocklist agnostic to case sensitive letters, so users won’t be able to bypass it by simply typing blocked email in mixed upper and lower case letters. For the full list of changes, take a look at our changelog.
