WordPress.com caching improvements, ensured WordPress 5.5 compatibility and minor bug fixes.
What’s new?
WordPress.com
We have had some small – albeit annoying – caching issues with password resets on websites hosted on WordPress.com. After a few rounds of support tickets with their support and some research, we finally fixed the incompatibility.
WordPress 5.5
PeepSo is fully compatible with WordPress 5.5. As usual, we have been routinely testing our code agains the beta and RC releases of WP 5.5, so we were compatible with it long before it was released.
We bumped our version number to 2.9.0.0 for cosmetic purposes, to have a clear distinction for PeepSo versions released before and after WordPress 5.5.
Minor bug fixes
We ship two other small fixes in this release: a problem where a page with peepso_register shortcode would fail to save if registration was disabled and User Limits accidentally blocking Chat capability to users who are not allowed to create new posts.
