PeepSo 1.6.1 is a security release. We’ve patched exploitable AJAX endpoints allowing users to modify non-PeepSo user meta data.
I encourage you to update PeepSo today to have the fix applied on your site.
All the features we’ve planned for 1.6.1 have been moved to 1.6.2 due to this unexpected release.

Remember to update plugins in this sequence: ChatSo first, then all the child plugins. Core PeepSo plugin should be updated last. You can see the full changelog here.

still need a lot of features as photo album categories or photos, complex search member page, global photo page search to order photos by “featured, most liked, most comment, etc” for the moment buddypress is better
Yes, PeepSo is just getting started. BuddyPress certainly has more features, but that doesn’t make it better. Many users don’t need thousands of features and simply want a solution that works, looks good and is supported.

Are there any plans for a forum plugin? Or to integrate bbpress?

Just like I wrote on our community, bbPress integration is something that’s been on my mind for a while now. And I know that it’d be a nice addition to PeepSo plugins family. I’m hoping we’ll be able to create an integration plugin, much like we did PeepSo-PMP Integration plugin. It’s all the matter of how much time we’ll have on our hands. Currently, no promises, I’m hoping to get started on it after Groups are released.
