Custom Reactions Give Your Community Depth

Custom reactions give users insight and depth in their community. Why does someone press the like button anyway? Is it because they read the post? Some people like a post because they agree with it. Some people like posts give themselves exposure. A like isn’t a like isn’t a like. So why not follow that lead with reactions?

Reactions are the Norm for Social Platforms

Your community should stay relevant and fun. When growing a community, the last thing you want is to lack features. That’s why we created the free reaction extension. Many platforms allow user reactions. Reactions are now the expected norm for social platforms.

Without a doubt, the new Facebook Reactions are here to stay. Now more than two years since its introduction, Facebook users are using them more and more as they are grow accustomed to their place in the network’s digital landscape.

A Like is Easier – Reactions Give Insight

Sure, it’s easier to like than comment. It’s easier to share than comment. But a like isn’t always enough for a user to quickly express themselves. We smile and we laugh. These reactions help express the things our faces communicate when we talk in person.

LinkedIn gives us insight into the usefulness of reactions. They realized that a like wasn’t enough. Even those who post wanted more insight into the motivation behind the like. LinkedIn believes they solved that with their reaction set. We agree.

One of the things we regularly hear from all of you is that you want more expressive ways than a ‘Like’ to respond to the variety posts you see in your feed. At the same time, you’ve also told us that when you post on LinkedIn, you want more ways to feel heard and understand why someone liked what you said.

Customize Your Community Today

Whether you want a bit of fun for a holiday like Halloween or Christmas or just want to be able to encourage members, custom reactions make your community a more welcoming place. Imagine a community dedicated to recovery who has a reaction for “Proud of You” or “One Day at a Time.” That’s powerful.

PeepSo reactions say more than a thousand likes. Reactions are built-in right into PeepSo plugin itself and they extend the regular likes on stream posts with emotional reactions such as love, laugh, and wink. Reactions feature a built-in set of reactions so you can get started. But the admin panel is powerful enough to allow customization like uploading your own images. Even all those fancy moving gifs work perfectly fine.

How About Holidays?

Making sure your community is always on top and keeping up with what’s going on in the real world you can use that powerful customizer to swap the regular reactions icons for something seasonal. Why not use a smiling vampire for Halloween? How about a winking snowman for Christmas time? After the holidays are over, you just bring back the regular reaction icons. It’s effortless and provides something fresh for your users.

Glad I read this. I'll start looking for reaction icons to customize the site experience.

I often wish the 'reactions' on Peepso worked more like they do on Farcebook - the routine on Peepso 'feels' strange and the icons are too small .
