So my member base is very international, and meeting up others are part of what the larger Esperanto community do. There are two services that offer ways to find people based on where they live. One is closing down this week, the other is Amikumu, which is meant to be a way to find people close by (through GPS), but it’s not that useful outside this particular need, so people don’t use it much. What I then want, is a sort of page that shows a world map. Members can then add their coordinates in their profile (or somewhere else, but profile would be best), and that will show up on the map (all, members only, just friends etc). People can then click on someone on the map to reach their profile. I don’t need anything fancy like GPS tracking. As a matter of fact, I prefer not to use GPS in order to add safety. I’m hoping this sort of app exists (and hopefully doesn’t cost much) and can be intergrated into PeepSo, OR that the Team can make something like this themselves. I bet I’m not the only one out there who would find this a great addition to their sites. Like US interstates communities.
