In the next 3 years, hopefully I can have a community with approx 100,000 – 500,000 (this is achievable for me) with concurrent sessions of 15k – 20k (or 15% to 20% as standard calculation). I am hosting application and DB on a AMD 12 core, 64GB ram dedicated server. Photo offloaded to separate S3 bucket, Video offloaded to AWS too, other media like audio, files upload to another separate S3 bucket. At present, I am using my server to run the cronjobs (later I shift these to easycron). Does this architecture serves my purpose ? Anyone please answer with some clarity (please don’t say it depends) or at least throw some approx opinion. EDITED: I have now custom Android & iOS web-view based native apps (not from Mobiloud or WPmobile) ready hosted separately. Please consider this information as well.
