Three admin settings that would be handy to have are: In Appearance > General if the Absolute Dates setting had an option if older than a month. A post that is 2 days old we still care about as contemporary. A month old however is a bit more dated. Much prettier to see something posted 3 days ago than saying "Posted September 27th 2021". As the numbers get higher seeing something like "Posted 252 days ago" is hard to discern when it was posted. See attached photos. Admin options to set Chat plugin's default settings for new users. Users can set them from their profile. While I do like giving users the option to disable messages from non-friends, community content will be heavily influenced by direct communications from non friends. The information community members are providing where people will go; hence it's important for authors to be messaged in case of misinformation or updated conditions. For some communities it makes sense to set chat default to friends-only, others it's the opposite which is why a setting would alleviate this. A setting or filter to more precisely set an exact avatar/cover size. Currently can set the coverwidth to sizes like 1000 or 1500 but not to the size of my theme which is 1220. Either avatars/covers get stretched or use much more bandwidth per image cutting into load times, server resources, and affecting image quality. I see filters such as ''peepso_filter_cover_sizes'' which are great for generating custom banners for menu/widget placements; but this doesn't affect the default avatars/covers.
