We’re excited to announce the release of PeepSo 7.0.5.0, bringing you a range of usability improvements, smoother mobile experiences, and key fixes that make your community platform more polished and reliable than ever. From enhanced chat interactions to UI cleanups across PeepSo, Gecko, and 3rd-party integrations, this update is packed with meaningful quality-of-life upgrades.
Let’s take a look at what’s new.
A More Fluid Chat Experience
We know just how important direct messaging is to your community. That’s why this update focuses heavily on improving the PeepSo Chat experience, especially on mobile. We’ve cleaned up the message visuals for a more intuitive and modern look, and tackled the issue where the mobile keyboard was covering the text input area when composing new messages. Now, chatting on-the-go feels as smooth as it should.
We also fixed an annoying bug where users couldn’t scroll through a single conversation on mobile and resolved a glitch that caused the chat view to randomly jump to the end of a conversation after a while. With these fixes, your community’s private messages will feel seamless and reliable.
Fixes Across Core PeepSo Features
Beyond chat, several key updates make PeepSo more polished across the board. For starters, we’ve adjusted how the password reset flow works – users will now be logged out if they try to reset their password while already logged in, ensuring a more secure experience.
We’ve also cleaned up the “Post to” selector in the postbox, which was previously falling outside the viewport in some layouts. Tagging users on MacOS 15 and Safari 18.5 is working again, and the issue with permalinks settings has been resolved.
Other improvements include:
- Footer links in the admin interface are now clickable again
- The “Like Page” option no longer appears in the stream when page likes are disabled
- An issue with
form_open()
not rendering properly has also been fixed
UI Enhancements for Groups and Pages
Creating new groups or pages? It’s now a smoother experience thanks to CSS fixes affecting the “Create New” buttons. We’ve also corrected styling on the “Add Album” button, so it behaves consistently with your site’s selected theme.
Third-Party Integration Plugins Fixes
We’ve addressed compatibility issues with a couple of third-party integrations as well:
- WP Event Manager (WPEM): The single event view now properly displays with a background
- MasterStudy LMS: The profile area now correctly shows course descriptions, resolving layout issues that affected the user experience in the Courses tab
