This small release ships improvements to automatic updates, affected by the recent WordPress 6.8.

Issues with automatic updates & WordPress 6.8

WordPress 6.8 has introduced a change to how some of the hooks are fired when checking for updates, interfering or sometimes completely preventing premium plugins like PeepSo or Paid Memberships Pro from showing new updates to end users.

If you are on a version older than 7.0.4.3 it’s very important to update, as that version shipped important security fixes.

If you cannot see PeepSo updates, please follow these steps:

1. Download the PeepSo Foundation plugin
2. Head to Admin > Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
3. Upload the ZIP file, and when asked, tell WordPress to replace the plugin.
4. Head to Admin > Dashboard > Updates and click “check again”.

From now on, you should be able to see PeepSo updates just fine. If the problem persists more than 24 hours, please contact our support.

Other improvements

We fixed an issue with Chat / Messages where in rare cases some messages would appear to load twice.

We also updated the Spanish translation to nearly 100% for all plugins and the Gecko theme.
