Release 6.0.8.0 brings fixes for posting emoji icons and unique view counts in the stream. We’ve also improved the messages and removed unnecessary options like pin feature within them.
Posting Emoji
PeepSo users have always been able to use browser built-in emoji icons in all text fields, as long as database uses UTF8MB4 encoding. However, recently we’ve received reports that in certain general database charsets emoji refuses to work. We have fixed this and now you should be able to use emoji in all database charsets. UTF8MB4 encoding is still a hard requirement though, as emoji icons can not work without it.
Other Fixes
In rare occasions, it could happen that unique view count for stream is not calculated properly. We’ve introduced the fix for it and it should now work as intended. There are more minor improvements and fixes, feel free to check our changelog for all the details.
